Alicia Tan Highlights

CTV interview

CBC interview

After a very difficult two win season the Mount Royal Cougars have found a silver lining. Rookie guard Alicia Tan was named to the 2013-14 Canada West All-Rookie Team.

Alicia was consistently one of the Cougar's strongest players throughout the season and was amongst the team leaders in almost all of the statistical categories.

She led the team in assists by a whopping 36 and was 13th in the league in average assists per game (3.0). She also averaged the most minutes of any player on the team throughout the season playing 35.8 minutes per game.

She was third on the team in scoring averaging 9.9 points per game this season. She was also third on the team in rebounding collecting 88 (15 offensive, 73 defensive). A rebounding stat like this is all the more impressive considering Alicia is only 5'0.

The Calgary, Alberta native is a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She is currently enrolled in the Open Studies Program.

Calgary Storm Basketball teams had a fabulous season last year, where they represented the club extremely well in local tournaments, Western Canada and the US.

We are off to an even better and more exciting fourth season. We look forward to our upcoming tournaments which attract many top teams from Canada and the United States.

Calgary Storm would like to thank our sponsors, parents, and our associates for supporting and believing in our program.
